Penerapan iptek untuk meningkatkan pemasaran produk dan ekonomi pengrajin purun di Kota Banjarbaru

Abstract

Galoeh Tjempaka is one of the purun woven craft groups found in the town of Banjarbaru consisting of 15 craftsmen. Pengrajinan is a local resident who has a busy life as a housewife. The making of purun woven crafts is still done conventionally with several stages, namely purun retrieval, purun drying, purun flaking, purun staining, and the making of purun matting. Some purun woven handicraft products include hats, mats, baskets, bags, wallets, tissue boxes and so on. Most of the products produced by craftsmen are still marketed in the homes of artisans and sold traditionally because they are still waiting for orders and some products are still sold to shop merchants in the market so the prices obtained by producers (craftsmen) are very small compared to the profits obtained by traders. Galoeh Tjempaka craftsmen also carry out order-based production processes for the needs of seminars, offices, and even for souvenirs. This group has implemented a system of recording their production sales but they still feel confused to monitor cash flows, both cash inflows and outflows. In addition, sometimes the profits from the sale of their products are still used for personal interests which causes the cash flow to be out of control. The solutions offered are based on the problems that have been explained including: (1) socialization regarding marketing of purun woven products, (2) Making branding (logos) so that customers or prospective customers have an idea of the production of purun woven and can be used in various business activities such as on sales notes, stamps, and business cards, (3) guidelines for using social media to serve product order problems, as well as questions from consumers and also as a display container for woven products already owned, (4) assistance with appropriate technology equipment in the form of gun tags and pin tags to label woven products produced, (5) assistance in carrying out financial records
