Penerapan iptek bagi masyarakat bantaran Sungai Barito Kelurahan Kuin Utara dalam produksi kue jintan manis dan akar pinang

Abstract

"Quin" Joint Business Group is a home industry group engaged in the production of snack jintan manis and akar pinang. However, until now this business group only produces based on orders received. With simple equipment owned, Quin group is only able to produce 3 kg of snack jintan manis or akar pinang in one day, by spending 5-7 working hours, apart from their busy life as housewives. The manufacturing process that still uses simple equipment and techniques, results in the snack products produced having an ordinary quality. In addition, there is no effort to diversify the product and less attractive packaging, making snacks are not competitive with other snack products. The last factor that is still not maximized is sought by this small bussiness group so that its products have not been able to penetrate a wider market is a matter of marketing. Based on the problems faced by these partners, the solutions offered are (1) counseling on business management, specifically production planning, (2) assistance with appropriate technology equipment in the form of dough mixer, 15 cm long roll press machine, and deep fryer frying machine with temperature indicator, (3) guidance for product diversification, (4) guidance on packaging techniques so that the product has a high selling value, and (5) guidance to expand the marketing area.
