Pemberdayaan Kelompok Tani Ternak Pandarapan Makmur melalui pemanfaatan limbah perkebunan kelapa sawit menjadi pakan komplit

Abstract


Activities carried out in livestock groups in the Bati Bati District Agricultural Extension Center aim to increase the insight and knowledge carried out with the technical discussion and presentation and improvement of the feed formulation in the form of feed formulation and processing. The main target of feed ingredients to be utilized is various agricultural and plantation business waste that is around farmers. The feed ingredients are mainly the use of oil palm fronds and are equipped with the utilization of other wastes such as post-harvest corn in the form of piles. The results of the activities showed a high level of enthusiasm and enthusiasm from both extension officers covered by the BPP in the Bati Bati subdistrict and empowering participating livestock groups. In the discussion activities, the participants seemed active in conveying the Problems and experiences in handling feed during their livestock raising. In feed processing practices, active participants do processing together with complete feed formulations consisting of 20% concentrate feed and 80% mainly forage feed from oil palm fronds, pile and some fresh grass. The introduced concentrate is also made from local ingredients, such as rice bran, palm kernel cake, minerals, urea. Then all the ingredients are mixed with drops and decomposing microbes. In trials with livestock, it was seen that cattle were very fond of the feed and this added to the enthusiasm of the training participants to use this technology in their farming efforts.
