Abstract


Peatland Revitalization is an effort to empower the community through optimizing the potential of superior community activities on peatlands towards profitable agribusiness activities such as laying duck cultivation, in addition to their obligation to maintain drilled wells and canal blocking made by the Peat Restoration Agency (BRG) to eliminate fires. peat. The purpose of the activity is a) To provide sustainable business activities so that people in the peatland area in the village of Asia Baru Kec Kuripan Kab. Batola, b) Peatland communities are able to produce profitable agribusiness, and c) Central and local government efforts to control peat fires in peat areas spread across South Kalimantan. The activity method uses activity partners with the New Asia village community kec. Kab. Batola, with its livestock group activity partners, namely the Forward Forward Group and the Joint Working Group with group members totaling 40 people. The organizer of the activity conducted a survey and socialization of activities and planned the pre-eminent activities chosen by the village community, namely laying duck farming, followed by making a cage sketch and 200 cage making cages, and technical education on laying duck cultivation including technical maintenance of juvenile ducks and laying hens, technical formulation of ducks ration. , technical hatching of duck eggs using a hatching machine, as well as marketing of duck eggs. The cost of production input in the form of a cage, laying ducks, feed, vaccines and medicine as well as the hatching machine is funded by the organizer of the activity, where after the production of all production input and management of the cage and duck are fully donated to the farmer group, and business income is fully managed sustainably by the chairman and group members . The results of the activities show that community service revitalization activities through intensification of laying duck farming in the Asia Baru Village, Kuripan District, Kab. Batola has produced activity output in the form of a) Two (2) duck cage units each measuring 4 m x 5 m with a stage cage model, and b) 100-grain duck-hatching machine grants. The activity has successfully conveyed the adoption of laying duck cultivation techniques to the community or breeders through training on duck cultivation and the provision of livestock farming packages in the form of 2 duck cages, 5 month old duck ducks, 54 sack duck feed packages (sacks @ 50 kg), drug and vaccine packages as well as Grant 1 unit of hatching machine. The training carried out consisted of two (2) types of activities namely training on duck farming to provide additional knowledge, technical skills and understanding of the community or breeders in terms of technical farming, especially laying ducks to increase income and welfare of the community or target breeders. Efforts to optimize the success of laying duck cultivation activities are carried out through technical assistance activities to the community or farmers that have been carried out six times during the activity, so that it is expected to be able to sustain the duck farming activities by the community or breeders after the activity ends. At the end of the cultivation duck activities have begun to lay eggs from 5% until the top reaches 72% daily production of the duck population (henday production) with a feed price of Rp. 6,000 / kg achieved sales of eggs around 2,500 / item with a daily income of Rp. 240,000 / day / 200 fish / cage or equivalent to Rp. 7,200,000, -month / 200 fish / cages and marketing is absorbed in the area around the village alone. This proves that all phases of the activity have been carried out systematically and in a coordinated manner in accordance with the ultimate goal of the activity to produce duck egg production and the start of duck farming agribusiness activities which are used as raw models that can be replicated by other communities, so that the multiplier effect of the activities will have a broad impact and good for all people in the village of Asia Baru Kuripan District Barito Kuala District.
