PELATIHAN PEMILAHAN SAMPAH BAGI SISWA SMA KABUPATEN TAPIN PROVINSI KALIMANTAN SELATAN

Abstract

Waste is the remnants of human daily activities and or solid natural processes. In various activities carried out by humans, every day there will always be waste, both in small quantities and in large quantities. One form of waste management efforts is through training. The main target of this socialization is to increase awareness of waste problems. The reason school was chosen as a place for socialization was because schoolchildren were more easily directed and behaved. The method applied through counseling on waste sorting uses interesting and through exposure. This socialization will be very useful as a first step in increasing knowledge and awareness of the importance of protecting the environment. More than 70% of high school students already know about waste segregation, with socialization through various means to our community we can increase that knowledge. Nearly 60% have not practiced it at home with difficult and inconvenient reasons, this is the challenge for us in the future how to get young people to sort waste properly so that it not only reduces the amount of waste thrown away but can also improve the economy of the community.
