PENGABDIAN MASYARAKAT BERBASIS MULTIMEDIA UNTUK MELATIHKAN SOFT SKILL PARA PENDIDIK SEKOLAH DASAR SEMANGAT DALAM DI BARITO KUALA

Abstract


Educators’ soft skills play an important role in creating multimedia literacy in elementary schools and facilitating critical thinking, creative, collaborative, and communicative in facing global competition. However; the soft skills of educators’ primary school Semangat Dalam 2 in Barito Kuala are still low. Therefore, a multimedia-based community service was conducted to train the soft skills of educators’ primary school Semangat Dalam in Barito Kuala. The service implementation method begins with an initial survey, then planning services, licensing, participants selection (selected: educators’ primary schools Semangat Dalam in Barito Kuala), implementation of service (produced multimedia products), and concludes an evaluation related to the product quality. The results of this community service are: (1) can train the soft skills of educators in processing graphics and photos (pictures) and then designing multimedia learning media; (2) can train soft skills of educators in finding and editing videos into learning media; (3) can train soft skills of educators in designing simple animation media using Macromedia flash; and (4) can train soft skills of educators in making interactive tests with Macromedia flash.
