Prospek pengembangan kalus sirih hutan (Piper aduncum L) sebagai bahan larvasida nyamuk Aedes aegypti
Abstract
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of sucrose in a concentration of 30 g/L, 60 g/L, 90 g/L, and 120 g/L on the growth of the Betel Forest Piper aduncum L plant callus through the initiation of in vitro culture. Qualitative data was obtained from the morphology of callus growth. At initiation using Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium with the addition of a growth regulator 2,4-Dikloro phenoxyacetate 2 mg/L + Kinetin 2 mg/L. The results showed that callus from different sucrose concentrations had different color and callus texture. The administration of 30 g/L sucrose produced a greenishwhite crust-textured callus, while at 60 g/L sucrose treatment, 90 g/L and 120 g/L textured crumbs with blackish brown color.
