Abstract

The purpose of the study was to identify alternative efforts for fishing communities in the Lake Semayang Area, Kota Bangun District The method used is a survey method and interviews with respondents. The data obtained were processed and tabulated, then analyzed descriptively. Economic analysis is used to measure the level of business feasibility to be developed.The results of the study show that the average income obtained by fishermen is Rp1,650,000 per month, cage cultivation is Rp6,200,000 and salted fish processing business of Rp3,993,000 per production, The alternative business that can be developed is the R / C value of cage cultivation by 2.07, and the salted fish processing business with an R / C value of 1.61. This shows that cage cultivation and salted fish processing business can be used as an alternative business for fishermen.
