Abstract


The fact that until now the success of rice cultivation on sub-optimal lands, especially tidal peat, is still very diverse. Growing location-specific local rice is one of the local wisdoms that is still carried out and maintained by most farmers on tidal land in Kapuas Regency. The purpose of this study is to examine the patterns of land use by farmers, as well as the analysis of internal and external factors specific to local rice management. The research method was conducted by survey method. The method of determining the number of respondents using random sampling techniques of local rice farmers with a total of 67 households, and key informants as many as 8 people. Data analysis using IFAS and EFAS analysis. The results of the study of land use patterns for rice cultivation were carried out with the Planting Pattern I Pattern, which was managed by planting superior varieties and local varieties of rice, and in Pattern II by planting local varieties of rice. The results of the SWOT analysis show that the highest calculation score supports an aggressive strategy for the development of local paddy/rice in Kapuas Regency.
