PROFIL PERLINDUNGAN SEDIAAN LOTION EKSTRAK AIR DAUN GAHARU (Aquillaria microcarpa) TERHADAP UV-A DAN UV-B

Abstract

Gaharu leaves extract was previously tested and known has highly active antioxidant activity. Water was chosen as extraction solvent to increase safety from remain solvent. Extract used as cosmetics do not offer comfortness, less estetic, and has low acceptability. Therefore, converting extract to lotion was a right step. Test were performed by spectrophotometry on wavelength 290 – 400 nm. Results showed gaharu leaves water extract lotion has ability to protect from UV-A and UV-B.
