PENGARUH PEMBERIAN DOSIS TANDAN KOSONG KELAPA SAWIT (TKKS) PADA MEDIA LAHAN BASAH BUATAN (CONSTRUCTED WETLAND) TERHADAP pH, Fe, Mn UNTUK PENGELOLAAN AIR ASAM TAMBANG DI PT JORONG BARUTAMA GRESTON
Abstract
Indonesia is a coal producing country and coal mining activities are carried out using the open pit method. The problem of actitivity resulted in the water acid mining coal mine (AMD). AMD has low pH and contains high concentrations of heavy metals ions such as aluminum (Al), iron (Fe) dan manganese (Mn). One of the interesting technology in the AMD treatment is passive treatment using Constructed Wetland system. The existence of wetlands on the AMD management can increase pH and reduce level of dissolved metals. Oil palm empty fruit bunches potential to improve soil pH, because they have a high nutrient content such as N, P, and K. This study aims to determine the effect of potential as soil amendment oil palm empty fruit bunches on artificial wetland media on pH, Fe, Mn for acid mine drainage management. The method used in this study was a single Randomized Complete Design (RAL) with the treatment of TKKS doses of 0 g, 100 g, 200 g, 300 g, and 500 g. The results showed that oil palm empty fruit bunches high significant increase in pH, Fe, Mn. The AAT management by passive treatment had fulfilled the mining liquid waste quality standards according to the Ministerial Decree State of the Environment Number 113 of 2003 and South Kalimantan Province Governor Regulation Number 04 of 2007.
