Abstract

Corynespora Deciduous Disease (PGDC) caused by Corynespora cassiicola is one of the most important rubber diseases. The technology that is used by farmers today is still a lot that uses synthetic fungicides that can cause adverse side effects. Given the losses incurred, one of which can be utilized is coconut shell waste for making liquid smoke. This study aims to determine the best concentration in suppressing the development of Corynespora cassicola. This research has been carried out at the Forestry Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Laboratory of Organic Chemistry Research, Faculty of FMIPA, University of Riau and Pathology and Microbiology Pathology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau State Islamic University. The study was conducted for 2 months, from March to April 2019. The experiment was arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD) with 6 treatments and 5 replications so that there were 30 units of the experiment. The concentrations tested were 0%, 1%, 2%, 3%, 4% and 5%. The results showed that the best concentration of coconut shell liquid smoke in controlling Corynespora cassicola was 2% which was able to inhibit 100%.
