ANALISIS TATANIAGA BENIH JAGUNG MANIS “SWEET LADY” PADA PT BISI INTERNASONAL TBK DI KABUPATEN HULU SUNGAI TENGAH DAN HULU SUNGAI SELATAN
Abstract
The use of advanced seedwhich come from plant breeding process is necessary to increase sweet corn productivity. BISI International, co. ltd is foreign investment company who works in agricultural seed production. Sweet Lady is one of its production which is popular among sweet corn growers in South Kalimantan, so the selling has increased in the last 3 years. The study is purposed to track down the marketing channels of the Sweet Lady, costs, margins, marketing profits and share on each marketing institution in the area of Hulu Sungai Tengah and Hulu Sungai Selatan Regency. The primary data were gathered by census and interviews from 19 respondents, consist as: 2 R1 institutions (wholesales), 9 R2 institutions (retailers), 8 R3 institutions (2nd retailers). The study found 5 marketing channels in the study area. The differences of average cost in all marketing channels are IDR 2,437.50 per 250 gramsin R1, IDR 800.00 per 250 gramsin R2 and IDR 500.00 per 250 gramsin R3. The marketing margin differences in R1, R2, and R3 wereIDR 7,500.00 per 250 grams, IDR3,000.00 per 250 grams,and IDR 2,000.00 per 250 grams, respectively. Meanwhile the profits on R1, R2, and R3 were IDR 5,062.50 per 250 gram, IDR 2,200.00 per 250 gram and IDR 1,500.00 per 250 grams in that order. Share on each marketing institution R1, R2, R3 on 5 marketing channels is 90%, 96% dan 90%.
