RADIKALISASI AIR DI LAHAN GAMBUT: STUDI KEBERHASILAN KEPALA DESA MELAKSANAKAN MODERNISASI EKOLOGI DI DESA JEJANGKIT TIMUR, KABUPATEN BARITO KUALA

Abstract

Ecological modernization as the academic literature which show human-nature relationship with multi-disciplines such as politics, sociology, economy, and environment itself. This article emphasizes that political power was determinant factors of how ecological modernization work. Based on micro analysis, this study used case study in rural areas especially in Jejangkit village, South Kalimantan. The findings of this study show how the village chief of Jejangkit Timur was able to optimize the use of economic capital, cultural capital, social capital and symbolic capital that he had as a source of power to implement ecological modernization to solve water crisis. Key informants are from local government, local people and head of village Jejangkit Timur.
