PENERAPAN FUNGSI KELUARGA DI SUKU DAYAK PITAP

Abstract


Family development is an effort to create quality families who live in a healthy environment. These efforts are implemented by carrying out eight family functions, namely religious, social and cultural, love and caring, protection, reproduction, socialization, and environmental functions. This paper aims to analyze the implementation of family functions i n the Dayak Pitap families. The research method used in this paper is a quantitative approach with the survey method. Meanwhile the unit of analysis in this study is the family. As for the sampling, this research used the quota sampling method and the sample size is 70 families. This study uses descriptive analysis with the frequency distribution of the values of each variable. Research found that more than 50 percent of Dayak Pitap families embeded the values of eight family functions by worshipping (religious function), preserving regional culture/customs (social cultural function), physical protection (protection function), maintaining the cleanliness of reproductive organs (reproductive function), and cleaning the surrounding environment (environmental function). Meantime, the values of showing affection (love and caring function), sending children to school (educational socialization function) and saving money have the percentage of more than 40 percent (economic function).
