Pengaruh penggunaan turbulence enhancer terhadap efisiensi pada kolektor pemanas air tenaga surya
Abstract
One of the utilization of solar energy is to heat the solar water collector. To improve the performance of solar water heaters, modifications were applied to dual absorber plate and flow channels to increase heat absorption. This study aims to analyze the energy deficiency (Qloss), useful energy (Qu), and efficiency (ƞ) solar water heater with additional modification of turbulence enhancer and variation on the type of glass cover. Volume flow rate of water were varied to 1500 mL/min, 1200 L/min, 900 mL/min, and 700 mL/min. The results showed that the highest collector energy losses (Qloss) 82.45 Watt on the collector with dark glass, the highest useful energy (Qu) 649.17 Watt and highest efficiency (ƞ) 83.78% in the clear glass collector and the volume flow rate 700 mL / min. The smaller volume flow rate of water, the greater value of useful energy (Qu) and efficiency (ƞ) was generated by collectors. This is because at a smaller volume flow rate, water gets a much longer chance of absorbing the heat supplied by the absorber plate.
