Abstract

Biogas is a gas produced from anaerobic organic fermentation of waste that can be used as an alternative to renewal energy. This experiment was aimed to find out the biogas potential of elephant dung mix with variation of cow urine. The experiment was done by dividing 2 places / drums representing 2 treatment materials, ie the first drum containing pure elephant dung plus EM4 and second drum containing elephant dung with variation of cow urine addition with composition of 7 kg of elephant dung plus 5 liter of cow urine and added EM4. This experiment is to know the production volume of biogas produced. The experimental results show that on the 14th day the first drum does not form biogas, while the second drum has been formed biogas with a volume of 260 liters. This experiment proves that the use of elephant dung with variation of cow urine and the addition of EM4 is effective enough to produce biogas.
