Penyuluhan peningkatan keaktifan masyarakat pada pengelolaan sampah di Bank Sampah Cempaka Putih Banjarbaru Kalimantan Selatan

Abstract

The development of waste banks in Banjarbaru City is potentially in economic development and environmental improvement. The object of these activities is Barokah waste bank in Landasan Ulin Timur Banjarbaru City. The aim of the program are: (a) to train the community in managing household organic waste into communal scale compost, (b) increasing community knowledge in sorting and collecting waste in Waste Banks. The method to improve waste bank activities include assessing needs to increase the knowledge and community participation, identified the problems, prioritizing the problems, arranging the counseling plans, implementation of counseling, assessment of the results of counseling, and the last is follow up of counseling. The results from the program are (a) improved knowledge and skills in sorting of waste and saving waste in the Waste Bank, (c) the Waste Bank is able to compost communal household organic waste
