Pengelolaan sampah sekitar kampus untuk mendukung go green concept
Abstract
Rapid growth of settlements and population have significantly impact to the high production of garbage. The big volume of garbage can be minimized if the community participate to cultivate waste independently. Students as part of the community are expected to actively participate in managing waste especially garbage around the campus. Trash in the Faculty of Forestry is dominated by organic wastes (leaves, organic falls). Every day this is just discarded and subsequently burned by the janitor. Students also have yet to apply the sort of rubbish (trash separating organic and inorganic) for easy processing of such waste. The garbage is only inserted into the bin, mixed between inorganic garbage and organic waste. Waste management independently by students on the campus where many benefits and can be a good example for the community around and capable of being pilot projects as well as changing the image about the meaning of the garbage is not the item/items disgusting and wasted. This devotion also wanted to change the perspective of the students regarding the environment, through socialization, in addition to the direct understanding of the waste and its impact on the environment, this activity will emphasize how to see garbage in a glass eye EcoEntrepreneurship. The purpose of this devotion is the activity may increase students ' skills (in terms of the utilization of organic waste into compost and MOL) so that it can be used as organic fertilizer. From some external target achievement indicators, already achieved success average of 100%. This is expected to continue to remain, even though the activities of the devotion ended.
