PROGRAM TEKNOLOGI TONG KOMPOSTER PENCACAH SAMPAH ORGANIK UNTUK PENINGKATAN KINERJA TPS 3R SEKUMPUL KABUPATEN BANJAR

Abstract

TPS3R in Banjar Regency had a problems in management including institutional aspects, human resource competence and limited facilities. Operational technical problems are one of the most important obstacles because they only perform the inorganic waste sorting process without any organic waste processing. Composting has not been implemented at the TPS3R due to lack of workers and the lack of organic waste processing equipment. This raises the idea that it is important to develop simple and easy organic waste processing technology and produce good quality of compost. The compost processing innovation that will be applied namely TONGPOSCAH (Tong Komposter Pencacah). The technology combines the chopper that merge into composter bin. The benefits to of this program are as follows; the increasing ability of TPS3R workers in processing organic waste, increasing community participation in the movement to process organic waste, technology product of simple composting tools, namely TONGPOSCAH (Tong Komposter Pencacah). This program was carried out at the TPS3R Sekumpul in Banjar Regency South Kalimantan. This activity involves the participation of TPS3R managers. The implementation of the program, TPS3R managers act as implementers of the composting technology that will be provided. The methods of implementing the program are as follows: planning and preparation, designing TONGPOSCAH tools, making tools and testing tools, explanation of how to use technology, and implementation of composting using TONGPOSCAH technology, and reflection and program evaluation. The program carried out were very well received by the TPS3R workers due to the limitations in processing organic waste. The achievement of targets of the program include the delivery of technology that support the performance of TPS3R, the high enthusiasm of TPS3R workers, demonstration of tool, and suggestions for evaluation for tools improvement.
