Abstract
Selorejo Reservoir is an artificial wetland located in the area of Malang Regency which was built in the 1970s. It is a tourist area that is quite interesting, but currently there are some problems that related to the change of water conditions and many water hyacinth that cover the water. Others than environmental problems, problem that related to economy arises because of decreasing visitors and based on social aspect, there is a problem of fish seekers behavior using materials that can contaminate reservoir water. Thus, this study aims to study the condition of Selorejo Reservoir through phenomenological perspective. The theoretical foundation in this study is sustainable development, with synergy among economic, social and environmental / ecological aspects. This is a sustainable livelihood approach. The research method is qualitative with 10 informants obtained through social media. After going through the triangulation validation, an understanding can be found that Selorejo Reservoir is an attractive and cheap alternative tourism location, but to maintain the sustainability in the reservoir, a study of the management that currently used is needed. It would be true that the solution is by revitalizing Selorejo Reservoir governance. Therefore, further research is needed to be conducted in more depth analysis.
