Spesies dan kerapatan populasi cekakak (Genus Todiramphus) di Desa Sungai Rasau, Kabupaten Tanah Laut

Abstract

Population density is the size of great a population that deals with a unit of space, generally investigated and declared a number of individuals or biomass per unit area, per unit (volume). This study was to describe the species and population density of cekakak (genus Todiramphus) in Sungai Rasau Village, Tanah Laut. There were two species of cekakak, namely cekakak sungai (Todiramphus chloris) and cekakak suci (Todiramphus sanctus). Population density of Todiramphus chloris 14,90 individuals/ha in fishpond and 13,50 individuals/ha in mangrove forest edge. On the other hand, the density of Todiramphus sanctus was 1,27 individuals/ha in fishpond and 3,31 individuals/ha in mangrove forest edge.
