DEVELOPMENT OF DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEM OF SOIL CONDUCTIVITY AND TEMPERATURE FOR PEATLANDS BASED ON MICROCONTROLLER
Abstract
One of the methods developed in precision farming systems to obtain information on land conditions is through the measurement of the electrical conductivity of the soil and temperature. In this study, a conductivity and temperature measurement system will be developed to be applied to the soil on peatlands. The two measured soil parameters will be measured in an integrated microcontroller-based portable device that can be connected to the computer. The data acquisition system consists of a conductivity sensor, a temperature sensor, an Arduino microcontroller module, and a 16x2 Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) display. The prototype results of the conductivity and temperature data acquisition system that have been made show that the made system is capable of conducting data acquisition in real-time and storing the measurement results in a computer.
